Man this place is dead... where is everyone, melting away in the summer heat? Thank heavens summer's nearly over.

is it me or is sakurai off on schoolies or something?

^_^' Actually, I finished highschool 4 years ago... so I don't have an excuse really for being absent besides my own laziness.
A late happy new year and congrats to all those who survived their exams, and good luck with whatever you choose to do for now on.

On the CN front through, I'm rather sad. I'm missing Inuyasha, which I never ever throught I would. I actually didn't want them to put FMA on, as much as I love the series, primarly because the dub is god awful and I allready own the whole series on VCD and DVD.
Oh well, at least I'm finding it entertaining bitching at the TV screen when it's on, and it's good for the people who haven't seen it.
Anyone else watching?

f

Hey guys... sorry for kind of neglecting the Conspiracy a little XP
Real life can be draining.

I finally decided since Terra-chan was the only one who entered she wins the caption contest. Yay congrats ^^
Updated the main page.

Also i found a spell-check on the group page! Its no biggy but i actually had to pause for a moment to realise what was wrong!

its under the Links and Dates heading in the AAC category... umm, where it says "All capital cities..." its says "expect" and it should say "except"! ahah!

(god im hopeless... -_-' ...)

Actually I was expecting I had made a mistake somewhere... I'm completly hopeless at spelling, trust me. ^_^'
Thanks for pointing it out.
I'll also take this chance to wish the group a Merry Christmas... since I probably won't get around to it later.

I have a little good news as well for anyone who has Cartoon Network.
CN will start playing Gundam Seed Tuesdays - Thursdays at 10.30 from December 15th.
Unfortnately (for some) Initial D will not be showing after the 15th. XP

f

oooooo like the Vincent one, might be a tad dark (if it's not my montior) but it suits the image. Coolies.
A friend of mine actually cosplayed as Vincent at Supernova in Sydney last month. He was so cool. You should of heard me and my friends screaming when he got up on the stage in the Cosplay contest. ^_^

f

I actually don't mind the dub. Sure it urks me sometimes. (Like Kaede's yees etc) but for the most part I don't mind it, and I have seen it in Japanese too. Like all Dubs, it takes getting used too, the more you see, the more you can stand it.

Cartoon Network can be so evil.... going back to the beginning of Inuyasha when they had gotten so far into the series. Oh well, at least I can see the eps I missed at the very beginning back when I through IY was crap. (I missed about a good 20 of them)

I think the reason behind that is that Madman haven't released past ep 52 on DVD yet. (The DVD with eps 49 - 52 comes out in December)
Since the version we are getting on CN is Madman's version, with orignal TV opening and closing themes in tact (have you heard the English remakes... :( ) and possibly a little more uncut than the american version was, that's the reason it's gone back to the beginning.

Still sucks through. But they have done the same thing with Intial D too.

f

I actually saw the Loveless artbook in Kino about a month ago. I was going to buy it, but I didn't have any money at the time, and when I had some it was gone :( The pain.... the agony.... the humanity!

I'm hoping they get more in... I so want it.

The group page is looking great by the way... I haven't been here for ages so I don't know if it's anything new but it looks great.

f

Very nice image. Terazuma ^_^ You just don't get to see enough of him....

Man it has been a while hasn't it?
I've been so preoccupied by a million other things to even go online anymore, let alone come here. I will make that banner through.... one day.

I did manage to finally buy volume 7 in English. It was such a long time coming. Everything I went was sold out.
So, for my opinion on the translation. It's getting better, but it's still not 100%. The way they are going I give VIZ about 90%
Whether that goes up or down all depends on how they handle the next volume. I hope that Suzaku and Touda retain their orignal names, I shudder to imagine what they are going to call Touda. :(

So yeah, what's everyone think of volume 7?

f

Update on the manga minna.
Whether it's true or not, it's big news all the same.

http://www.keiichianimeforever.com/boards/index.php?s=c82e9d3f060b4c12295ab03c0b576ac3&showtopic=25233

Apartenly Yoko Matsushita is now continuing the manga again, expect with a new art style some people are claiming isn't hers at all.
The thread is from KAF's YnM fanclub... there's also a download of a Ukyou x Oriya side story up there as well.

f

Hey minna, I'm back... kind of. Man life's been crazy.

Anyway.

One big huge Squeee for volume 7 coming out soon. Vol 7 and 8 are my favourite volumes.
I so can't wait to be able to read it in English. I hope VIZ's translations only improve on the last volume...
The manga version of the Kyoto arc is fantastic, and of course it goes alot more in depth on both sides, and it plays out 'slightly' different to the way the anime did.

And no.... no news (that I've heard of) of the hiatus coming to an end anytime soon... which is utterly depressing, I've found myself getting into other fandoms to try and retain my sanity.

f

The anime was made in 2000. So it's 5 years old.

The reason behind a delay of making a second series (if they EVER make one) is that the manga isn't finished and has been on hiatus for over two years. Also there's not really enough story after the Kyoto arc (where the anime ended) to make a 13 episode long series.
There's not much point making a second series of the anime anyway until the manga gets a proper ending.
So until the manga is finished, there won't be another series.

f

Aye.... I loved volume five. My favourite manga is a very close tie between volume 5 and the Kyoto arc. Volume five was so great because it had so much Tatsumi, althrough he gets to shine alot in volume 7/8 too.

Volume 6 is just too funny... the funniest volume in the entire manga in my opinion so be prepared to laugh.... alot. I'm glad to say, after I got around to reading it, VIZ did a 96% perfect job translated it. Their best so far in my opinion. There's hope still left ^^

f

The Kyoto arc spans two volumes (7 and 8)
Basically, volume 7 covers episode 10 -12 of the anime. Volume 8 covers episode 13.
At the end of volume 8 there's a little side story much like the side story at the end of volume 6. Basically, another one of Watari's experiments going wrong.

After that, for half of volume 9 there's a little arc/story called Masquerade. It's nothing major really, Hakushaku decides to invite everyone to a Masquerade party, where he loses his usual mask and makes everyone search of it. It's quite funny, but Muraki makes a very brief 'strange' appearance and you get to see Hakushaku's visable form.
And Matsuhita throws another spanner in the works, just to confuse you more.

This is probably the arc that people think isn't that good.

After that is the Gensoukai/Kumakura arc which started mid volume 9 and is still ongoing (to volume 11 and futher)
It's kind of spilt into two halfs. In one half - Gensoukai, Tsuzuki and Hisoka travel to Gensoukai (Shikigami world) to find Hisoka a Shiki, but gets involved with alot whole of other unrelated mess, like trying to stop the entire world from vanishing into worm holes for one.
The only bad thing I can see about this arc is that for most of it, Tsuzuki and Hisoka are seprated and hardly appear period. It mainly deals with all the Shikigami. But that has it's good points too.

The second half - Kumakura, Tatsumi and Watari receive orders to investigate the Kurosaki family, because some weird stuff with Demons is going on... something about a curse.

It's a good arc, I'm liking them.... the whole thing with Hisoka's past and his family is starting to be explained alot better. It's good.
I just really hope when VIZ make to this arc, they leave all the names (especially the Shikigami's) as they are.

f

Man....... makes me so glad I'm not in school anymore. Been out how 4 years now.
Good luck to everyone doing the HSC and going to school in general.
Remember it is only the beginning, University is a hundread times worse than highschool, but at least you have freedom at Uni.

I wish you will all still have your sanity by the end of the year.
Good luck

f

Quote by TirdaelynThat would be very cool of you. I would like to have something a little more stable. :)

No worries, I might whip up a little something next time I'm in Photoshop working on my 100 LJ icon challenge for YnM.

btw minna: Volume 6 is out... how does everyone find it?
I've always throught that this volume is the best 'light and comdical' volumes in the manga, seeing how the series starts getting darker past v6.
I haven't read it yet, but from the snippets I read of it in Kino, it's quite close to the original Japanese with only one (maybe two) problems I can see.
One mispelling (Chizuru - Chidsuru) and one slightly off translation (Gensoukai - Imaginary World o_O) but other than that it's pretty much perfect. I'm so very glad they kept Hakushaku's 'pedofile' scene with child Tsuzuki in all it's glory.

Anywho... hope everyone likes it.... only one more to go til v7.

f

Aye there is a volume 5. I finally managed to find the Loveless volumes (and the current edition of Zero Sum with Loveless in it) at Kinokuniya today so I'll let everyone who as soon as volume 6 comes out. Ah.... bless Kinokuniya ^_^

f

There's five volumes of the manga currently, volume 5 was released around April this year... I think. As far as I know Yun Kouga is still writing it (ie: no hiatus.... Yet.) so volume 6 should be out, say December... for I think Zero Sum is a monthly magazine.

Speaking of the manga, does anyone know any other scanlation groups besides Hollow and Obsession that are scanlating Loveless. These two groups are simply too slow and I'm dying to read past volume 2.

f

Hey welcome Sakurai.... :D

Thanks ever so much for thinking of making the banner. I've been stumped for ages of what to put on it.
As far as size goes, anything around the size of 640 x 240 will be fine. That's the size of the banner I made for my Gravi Land group and it's a perfect size for the page. (well on my broswer anywhoo)

PM me if you do it with the image so I can add it to the page.

f

Wasn't that the same picture that was the group's first ever image ^_^
Not that I mind... since it's such a fantastic image.

About about I make a banner out of that image? I'm feeling creative ^^

f

Hope no one gets mad.... but I've editted the main page slighly (only to add a link to the OST mp3's through) ^_^
Please let me know if any of the files don't work... since it's my first ever website after all. My html skills aren't the greatest.

And on another note: I watched the last episode the other day too... I loved it alot despite the fact that it's opened ended as all buggerly and solved nothing. It's just like the ending of the YnM anime (that ended 5 years ago too) I just hope they make a Loveless season two soon... I think I'll die if I have to wait that long.

But yeah.... who ever throught that Seimei was such a bastard?
I'm thinking of making a wallpaper of him and his evilness XD

f

GITS SAC on SBS will be very cool. (Even through I own the series on DVD ^^)
It's such a massively cool show, it deserves to be shown on TV to the masses. I hope that comes through. The dub is actually quite decent too.

And yes.... Intial D and Inu Yasha starting last Monday on CN. 10.30pm - 11.30pm
At least they kept their promise this month, I just wish they were showing some half decent anime.

f

Very dobutful.... I can't even count of one hand how many shows have been shown on TV in America that have never here.
Wolf's Rain, GITS SAC, Furi Kuri, fma... the list goes on and on.
It would be nice, I really don't see it happening.

f

Quote by tishdonHey I've got exciting news!! I was just reading my Madman Newsletter (subscription came with the last competition, they currently also have a new competition win the entire robotech boxset series - but thats not the news-) they announced that CN will air Inuyasha and Initial D Monday to Thursday starting from the 4th of July. Now that's got to be more reliable then the guide right?

Yeah just like how CN said they were going to show Full Metal Panic, Witch Hunter Robin and GITS SAC. I think this whole thing has been a cruel cruel joke.
I sure hope they get it right this time, if not, well just say this I know where CN headquaters is. It's a shame through, since Initial D and Inu Yasha are both anime I highyl dislike and don't want to watch. sigh.

f

I'll keep my eyes peeled cheapo. ^^

At Animania, I'll be wearing cat ears and a tail and will be attending with my two bestfriends hopefully. Just look out for a trio of scary looking hyperactive fangirls wearing kitty ears, and that'll probably be us.
